Before news of his diagnosis was reported, we recorded a spirited conversation about the new book Original Sin by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson. It’s serious journalism, raising real questions—and we look forward to reading it when it drops tomorrow. Still, based on early reporting, some context and counterweights are missing from the public conversation.
We don’t all agree—but at least one of us believes history may take a more generous view of President Biden’s achievements and his decades-long commitment to the American people.
